Made of 90% industrial waste, the 1 Inch Reclaimed Chair by Jasper Morrison explores the concept of sustainability while keeping with the designer's 'super normal' approach.
It is formed with simple shapes and a singular material, exuding a quiet grace through its straightforward expression. Its unique composition makes use of polypropylene waste at injection moulding plants mixed with waste sawdust from the woodworking industry. This combination, which provides a warm and tactile alternative to traditional polypropylene, has been used by Emeco for several years to actively reduce the impact of their production processes.
