BARCELONA CHAIR | Van der Rohe

Designed in 1928 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and his partner Lilly Reich, the Barcelona Chair was created as furniture for one of the architect's principal works; the German Pavilion for the World Fair in Barcelona in 1929.

Inspired by the folding chairs and the X-shaped footrests of the Roman pharaohs, this modern design is created with an important intellectual and cultural weight.
