Close to Heart is a minimalist sculptural chair designed by Spacon Studio for Muuto’s 20th anniversary limited edition collection. The entire structure is built from extruded aluminum profiles with a unique heart-shaped cross-section. This heart form is not merely decorative — it serves as the fundamental geometric basis of every tubular element. The continuous tubular frame elegantly flows from the rear legs into a tall, rounded backrest, creating a soft yet structural silhouette. The seat consists of multiple parallel curved aluminum slats that follow the ergonomic shape and add visual rhythm. The design masterfully balances industrial precision with emotional warmth: the heart-shaped profile is subtly revealed at the tube ends and joints, turning a functional structural element into a poetic detail. The chair features clean lines, perfectly executed bends, and a premium brushed anodized aluminum finish with anisotropic reflections.
