Originally designed in the mid-1960's for the lobby of Brasilia's Itamaraty Palace, which houses the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, Sergio Rodrigues' 'Parati' armchair and ottoman were an instant hit due to their modern, seemingly floating design and ultra comfort. Named after the city of Parati, a preserved Portuguese colonial getaway where the gold rush of the 1700's led to the construction of its historical Gold Trail, Rodrigues has reissued the 'Parati' armchair and ottoman after a 40-year hiatus.
