Offering rich detail, tactile dimension and plenty of modern appeal, our one-of-a-kind wall hanging also champions traditional art forms and the craftspeople who create them. Working as part of a cooperative, women in the rural KwaZulu-Natal Midlands start by hand rolling each of the clay beads, which are then sun dried, dip dyed and kiln fired before being strung. Twisted cotton yarn completes the composition, dyed by hand in a stunning ombré gradient.
