Design table - Patrick DE GLO DE BESSES
Patrick de Glo de Besse wanted the Girasol table to be a geometric composition. The base features 16 facets that are created by combining two pyramid-shaped pieces, the top features 8 inlaid shapes that wrap around an octagon, and the solid oak belt includes 32 triangles. The curved cutting at the bottom of the base is reminiscent of a skirt that is floating above ground.
Design chair - Massimo Zaniboni & Paola Bonazzi
Created using the bentwood technique, the backrest of this light-weight armchair delicately rests between the two side structures. The fluidity created by the solid and open materials is emphasised by rattan caning (or other finishes). It has the perfect amount of retro inspiration.
