Shou – Sugi – Ban ( traditional Japanese charred wood finish ) American yellow pine panels which are Matt hard wax oil sealed, with an inset giant moon in a burnt gesso finish, with custom patinated brass sphere pin hinges and capping plates.

The burnt gesso is a unique and unpredictable process and finish, in which a synthetic gesso is burnt and carved back, creating a molten surface riven with cracks and craters
